Paul Bunyan’s Restaurant welcomes your family to our family. For more than 50 years, the Tonne Family has been opening their doors in Minocqua and Wisconsin Dells to generations of families. Now a Wisconsin tradition, it seems no vacation is complete without at least one visit to Paul Bunyan’s.
You’ll still find John and Betty Tonne actively managing the Minocqua location with their son Mike, the oldest of 3 kids. Mary, the middle child, is married to Trevor Hickey and together with their 6 kids, they tirelessly manage the Wisconsin Dells location. And Julie, the youngest child, is married to her husband Craig. Together they balance work and raising their 5 children.
Family style meals served in true lumberjack fashion are our specialty. At Paul Bunyan’s, you pay before you enter and then walk up to the dutch doors marking the dining room entrance. You’ll always find a smiling host ready to walk you to a table perfect for your group’s size. Whether you’ve arrived solo or brought a group of 30 or more, we’ll make room for you in short order.
